Baby shaped dolls are just one too many in the markets these days. The little plastic toy with its pretty blue eyes and milk bottle in its hand is a favorite with kids. But how often have you seen a beaded baby doll? Very rare indeed. And that is why it becomes a must have for all those who have a fascination or collection of these baby dolls. Satiating your appetite for the unusual and unique are designers Tony Moxham and Mauricio Paniagua who have made the Good Luck Baby. A Chaquira sculpture, the head of this baby doll was made by Huichol Indians using traditional Chaquira beading techniques. Chaquira beading is a very intricate process in which very small colored beads are pressed into a layer of wax to create patterns. This ancient technique requires a lot of concentration and a steady hand and beaded works can take up to several works to finish. The deep blue waters are known to hide a lot of treasures. Among those recently unearthed, are 30 bottles of champagne! Rumored to be produced over 230 years ago, these bottles were recovered from the depths of the Baltic Sea. These vintage wines were discovered by divers from Helinski who found them perfectly preserved at a depth of 180ft near the remains of a sailing vessel. According to the divers, the handmade bottle bore no label, while the cork said “Juclar”, from its origin in Andorra. The champagnes are believed to be from the famed house of Veuve Clicquot, and were possibly part of a consignment sent by France’s King Louis XVI to the Russian Imperial Court. A sample of the champagne has been sent to Moet & Chandon for their analysis. In fact they are 98% sure its Veuve Clicquot as they are the only ones to use the sign of an anchor on the cork. If confirmed, this champagne will become the oldest champagne still drinkable in the world.
Aaland wine expert Ella Gruessner Cromwell-Morgan, who was lucky enough to taste the wine, said it has not lost its fizz and is absolutely fabulous. The ideal conditions of cold and darkness of the sea bed have helped to preserve this wine.
I can just imagine the price these bottles will fetch once their date is confirmed.

Hublot and legendary soccer club Manchester United are all set recreate the euphoria of the recent FIFA World Cup through an outdoor event to benefit UNICEF. The event is slated to be held on 22nd July in New York and will be open to public. Professional players Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Nani, Darren Fletcher, Michael Owen and the manager Sir Alex Ferguson will attempt to hit a target “masked” as a giant Hublot watch from 51 feet, at the event. For every successful goal, Hublot will donate $1 million to United for UNICEF. A unique way to raise funds, even if none of the professional players are able to make the million dollar goal, Hublot has promised to make a significant contribution towards the cause. The United for UNICEF was created by Manchester United and Hublot through their foundation, the Manchester United Foundation which aims to educate, motivate and inspire young people to build a better life for themselves and their communities.
The event will not only generate funds and be a source of entertainment for fans; it will also help spread awareness about the cause of this foundation. The event will take place in between the iconic Flatiron and Empire State buildings on 23rd Street and Broadway at 4pm.

To me, perfume has a texture. Some fragrances wear like silk velvet, others like a practical gabardine, and still others — unfortunately — like double knit polyester.
